Master of Arts (Theological Studies) Degree
The Master of Arts (Theological Studies) degree (MA(TS)) exists for two specific groups of students, represented by its two tracks:
The GENERAL ACADEMIC TRACK is for students who desire familiarity with the major theological disciplines and to deepen their understanding of Christian faith. This track is now eligible as a fully-distance program so that students may earn this degree by taking courses online, via video-conference or by enrolling in a one- or two-week module course in Kansas City or at any of the Seminary’s multi-campus sites (Bethany, OK; Mount Vernon, OH; Nashville, TN; Quincy, MA). Learn more here.
The RESEARCH TRACK is for students who intend to pursue further study in a theological discipline. It is designed to provide students with specialized knowledge in their chosen area of study and the advanced research and writing skills necessary for doctoral-level work.
Dr. Joseph Coleson, Director of the MA(TS) program, shares an overview of the Master of Arts (Theological Studies).
