HOURS: Part-time (more than 20 hrs.)

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCE: Bachelor’s degree preferred.  2 or more years of experience with teens and infants preferred.  First Aid and CPR certified (Will provide this training). Minimum age: 21 years old. Proficient with Microsoft Word High school diploma or GED. Can pass a background check. Have a valid driver’s license, current car insurance, and acceptable driving record.  Ability to independently communicate and interact with teens and infants.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Mother’s Refuge is a local maternity shelter for homeless pregnant and parenting teens. We are a non-profit located in Independence, Missouri. Our mission is to shelter, educate, and enable these young women, so that they can take learn to care for themselves and their babies. We strive to be a place of hope and refuge.

Overall Responsibilities: Independently assist residents as needed while maintaining order in the house

  • Update resident logs
  • Facilitate activities including meals and chores
  • Drive residents to appointments and classes
  • Help with residents’ babies as needed
  • Light housekeeping
  • Answer phones
  • Attend monthly staff meeting (Every third Thursday of the month)

JOB REQUIREMENTS : We have immediate and future openings for Live-in Mentors to impact the lives of teenagers from across the country at Shelterwood Academy, a Gold Standard Christian Therapeutic Boarding School located on the eastern side of Kansas City, Missouri.  You must be at least 21 years of age. We hire single men and women who have a passion for Christ and a passion to help at-risk teenagers in our Shelterwood program. It’s a challenging and also a life-changing year of service. The position starts at $1,000 a month stipend plus free room and board, insurance benefits, and excellent training in our Leadership Development Program. Experience working or volunteering with teenagers is very helpful. An undergraduate or graduate degree is preferred for the full year position. For our summer openings (men only) you must be at least 21 by May 22.

We have openings for male staff for our May 22, August 14 and December 27 start dates. We have openings for female staff for our August 14 and December 27 start dates.

JOB REQUIREMENTS : LPC is seeking a Director of Student Ministry (“Director”) who will participate in the mission of the church by leading youth in BEING the church rather than just GOING to church. The Director will live out a picture of godly love in daily life and impact our students with sound Biblical teaching and cultural relevance. Most importantly, the Director exists to KNOW God, GROW in the likeness of Christ, SHOW God’s glory, and GO make disciples. LPC seeks a Director who will participate in the mission of the church, by being and making disciples with the LPC students. This person will oversee the middle and high school ministry, develop a team of leaders, and conduct a Christ-centered, vibrant, relational student ministry.

The Director will be expected to develop the growth of students, both spiritually and numerically in a way that reflects LPC’s overall vision. We believe in strategically partnering with parents in developing a student ministry that carries out this mission. In addition, this person will champion student ministry, both within and beyond the walls of LPC.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a heart for God with a growing relationship in Christ substantiated by daily Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. The candidate will have a high level of integrity guided by biblical and ethical principles. He or she will also display a strong, disciplined, and consistent work ethic. Being a proactive and ambitious “team player” is essential. Exemplifying a teachable spirit and receiving criticism with humility are imperative. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader that demonstrates an attitude of servant-hood; administrative aptitude; and possesses the ability to recruit, build, and manage a team of leaders in the student ministry.

JOB REQUIREMENTS : The School of the Arts, Media + Culture (SAMC) at Trinity Western University invites applications for a tenure track appointment in Worship Arts at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, beginning August 16, 2017.

The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree in worship, theology, or a related field, and will bring an active record of academic scholarship, administrative leadership, and practical experience in worship leadership in the local church.
