For international students applying to a degree program at NTS, prepare to submit the following during the application process:
- Three references: academic, pastoral, personal
NOTE: Army Chaplains may submit the last two Officer Efficiency Reports (OERs) in lieu of the Ecclesial Employer/Supervisor and Lay Person references. - Transcripts: Have official transcripts of all previous academic work sent directly to Nazarene Theological Seminary: Enrollment Services (Unofficial transcripts are sufficient until official ones arrive). If GPA is less than 3.0, an additional paper is required.
- Formal Academic Research Paper (or 500-word formal essay)
- TOEFL Scores: 550 (paper based); 79-80 (internet based)
- Affidavit of Financial Support

- Submit an application for re-admission, which will include:
- A brief re-admit statement as a part of the application
- Any official transcripts from any schooling done since withdrawing from NTS to sent to enroll@nts.edu
For students seeking to enroll at NTS without entering a formal degree program, prepare to submit the following during the application process:
- Transcripts: Have official transcripts of all previous academic work sent directly to enroll@nts.edu (Unofficial transcripts are sufficient until official ones arrive)
