Why Mentoring?

A critical verse for me has always been 2 Timothy 2:2, "And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will be qualified to teach others." I have been privileged to have had many individuals pour into my life. I desire to do this for others. We have a responsibility to those who follow us in ministry.

Having served for the past 15 years in hospice ministry, I can attest to the fact that the church does not speak of, handle, cope with, or care appropriately for the dying and their families. These books speak to how vital is it to care for and to be with these to whom life is drawing to a close.
