Why Mentoring?

I've always appreciated the mentors that took time to help me navigate challenging questions and processing God's call. They made a significant difference in my life and I would love to help others as they are navigating ministry and the various questions that come with life.

Impactful Books

After Whiteness: An Education in Belonging by Willie James Jennings
The Prophetic Imagination by Walter Brueggemann
Migrations of the Holy: God, State, and the Political Meaning of the Church by William Cavanaugh
The Myth of Certainty: The Reflective Christian and the Risk of Commitment by Daniel Taylor
The Cross and the Lynching Tree by James Cone
They Like to Never Quit Praisin' God: The Role of Celebration in Preaching by Frank A. Thomas.

Each of these books challenged me by helping me see the world in a different light, to grieve in the incongruence between the world as it is and the world as it should be, and to allow my life to be reoriented in new ways as a deeper call to service before God and the world.
