Why Mentoring?

In 15 years as a pastor, I feel like God has seen us through all sorts of good, and not-so-good. I’ve been helped by mentors along the way and if I could be of help to someone preparing or starting out, it would be an honor.

…this book speaks to the depths of God’s word, prayer, and our life with Him. I’ve used it in my own faith journey, for preaching, for helping people see the need for scriptureprayer (as Peterson puts it). I could go on and on.

…the way Nouwen describes the Father is what I largely try to teach, preach, and help people understand as we live out our faith in front of God and with each other, and even to our community
