If you desire to develop novel approaches to ministry both in and through culture making, either as a professional pastor or committed lay person, this resource provides a methodology to think through your particular calling from concept to sustainable ministry. Ministerial Entrepreneurship serves people who approach the world of faith, work, and economics as an arena for social innovation and human flourishing. Ministers who aspire to bridge their ministry with social entrepreneurship, or even for-profit, sustainable, ventures will draw practical skills for communicating and creating their own ministry.

The course offers the basics of entrepreneurship education in partnership with the Kauffman FastTrac program, with ministry in mind. The online educational resource includes resources to help you experience, engage, and reflect on your new venture through video interviews, personal exercises, online discussion with other participants, and guidance from mentor-coaches. Cohort courses run ten weeks with an online mentor.

Objectives:

  1. Identify emerging approaches to engaging innovative ministry and entrepreneurship.
  2. Explore and develop an approach to ministry in a given context, replete with business model and assessment of the approach’s sustainability.
  3. Reflect on the theological connections between entrepreneurship and faith.
