The Nazarene Theological Seminary Center for Pastoral Leadership and Mission Ireland invite you to take a journey to explore and learn from the Celtic spiritual tradition.

Pilgrimage Itinerary (subject to change):
September 4 – Arrive Dublin airport, travel to Glendalough, Co. Wicklow
September 5 – Guided walk through Glendalough’s St. Kevin’s monastic site
September 6 – Continued exploration of St. Kevin’s monastic site; hiking; spiritual direction
September 7 – Travel to Kildare, visit St. Brigid sites
September 8 – Travel to Dublin for worship at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Trinity College Book of Kells exhibit
September 9 – Travel to Dingle, Co. Kerry
September 10 – Visit Diseart Centre of Irish Spirituality and Culture, famine graveyard, and beehive huts
September 11 – Visit St. Brendan sites with optional climb of Mt. Brandon, Celtic music concert
September 12 – Travel to Clonmacnoise, St. Kieran’s monastic site, and on to Northern Ireland
September 13 – Visit Newgrange neolithic site and Monasterboice high crosses
September 14 – Visit Co. Down and St. Patrick sites
September 15 – Visit Holy Cross Benedictine Monastery at Rostrevor
September 16 – Departure from Dublin airport
Cost:
$1,500 (shared room) or $2,000 (private room)* includes all travel once in Ireland, lodging, food, and events on the pilgrimage, except two restaurant meals. Participants are responsible to pay for their own travel to and from Dublin airport at the beginning and end of the pilgrimage, and the two restaurant meals.
Payment schedule:
$500 due March 30, 2019
$500 due May 30, 2019
$500/$1,000 due July 30, 2019
Space is limited to a maximum of 13 pilgrims. Pilgrimage travel will be in two 9-passenger vans. Lodging will be arranged at inns, hostels, or lodges with kitchen facilities as we will be preparing most of our meals as a group. The private room rate does not necessarily include a private bathroom.
* There is a limited number of private rooms. These U.S. dollar prices may be adjusted if there is a major fluctuation in the Foreign Exchange Markets prior to September 1, 2019 (maximum 5% increase).
