Job Requirements:

Youth and Family Ministry Pastor (in-training) The person God calls to assume this position will have the opportunity to develop their ministry skills while at the same time completing their ministry degree, when applicable. Hours: This is a part-time position, with hours and schedule to be determined by the lead Pastor and potential candidate. (Approved by the church board.) Compensation: Housing (in the parsonage, located on the church property) at no cost. (Estimated equivalency of: $800 to $1,000 monthly.) Youth and Family Ministry Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain a Christ-centered and thriving ministry for youth (grades 7th thru 12th). • Connect youth to the body of Christ by building relationships with the St. Paul’s Church family. This entails encouraging participation in youth and family events, other church functions (events with a purpose), and serving alongside church family. • Intentionally make every effort to build and maintain healthy relationships with the parents of all youth attending St. Paul’s. • Develop discipleship groups, where our youth and their families can grow and mature in their Christian faith and become thriving and influential Christ followers. • Commitment to working as a team (church leadership). • Recruit, train, and support youth to assist with worship services, and implement special youth and family related worship services, under the leadership of the Worship Music Director. • Strategize along with church leadership to develop and achieve a successful outreach ministry, where the lost are drawn into a personal relationship with Jesus. Education and Desired Experience and Qualifications: • Minimum of an Associate Degree, preferably working toward higher education with focus on biblical studies, and or youth, family, pastoral ministry. • Youth ministry leadership (paid staff or volunteer) • Family ministry leadership (paid staff or volunteer) • Agreement with the Church of the Nazarene Doctrine
