Dr. David Wilson, former General Secretary of the Church of Nazarene, was elected as the MVNU representative to the NTS Alumni Council on Monday, April 29th. Dr. Wilson graduated from NTS in 1979 and went on to do post-graduate work at Princeton Theological Seminary and Asbury Theological Seminary. He pastored 23 years before being elected District Superintendent of the North Central Ohio District. He served as General Secretary for 12 years.
“Dr. Wilson brings years of experience in ministry and leadership to the table and will be a wise and winsome addition to the council going forward,” said Rev. Dana Preusch, Director of Alumni Relations. Dr. Steve Estep, NTS Alumni Association president, added, “I am thrilled to have Dr. Wilson on our council! His extensive knowledge, world-wide connections, and deep love for NTS will be of tremendous benefit to the NTSAA.”
Dr. Wilson and his wife Joy now reside in Mt. Vernon, OH where David serves as Executive Pastor in Marion, OH. They have 3 grown children and 6 grandchildren.
