Theologians and Deans of Schools of Theology, representing Nazarene educational institutions in the USA/Canada region, gathered at Nazarene Theological Seminary to discuss how to serve the Church of the Nazarene more effectively through theological education and ministry preparation. This discussion was of particular importance given the changing landscape of pastoral ministry and the continual mission for these institutions to partner with local churches and districts in preparing the next generation of clergy. The two day conference, sponsored by Dr. Dan Copp, director of the International Board of Education (IBOE), included conversations on such topics as ecclesiology, the role of the pastor, and ministry preparation. The discussions illustrated the common mission and passion of religion faculty to educate, form, and equip those who are called to serve the Church and the Kingdom of God.
