- NTS Connection
In Her Own Words
Just over 12 years ago, I visited NTS for the first time. At the time, there were three things I knew…God was preparing me for ministry, the preparation was to begin at NTS, and I had no idea how God would use me after I graduated. During the 5 ½ years I was a student here, God brought people into my life who loved, encouraged, challenged, and prayed for me.
When I think of NTS, memories begin flashing through my mind: the first time I met Susan Middendorf and the times after that when we shared our hearts, tears, and laughter; the day I met Eldon, a Seminary student who would become my husband; our pre-marital counseling sessions with Ed and Nancy Robinson; the many conversations with fellow seminarians; sitting next to Rickey during a summer ethics course with Al Truesdale—hoping our heads would not explode as we tried to comprehend his lectures; Roger Hahn calling me to serve as a colleague in the Dean’s Office last year (2006), and the excitement I can see in his eyes when we talk about the importance and impact of NTS in the lives of the students and the Church.
Eldon and I left Kansas City in 2000. We always felt we would return, but did not realize it would be as a family of four. Our daughter Sarah is five years old and will begin kindergarten this fall; our son Sam is three.
I count it a privilege and honor to be the Registrar at NTS. My family and I are looking forward to serving, loving, encouraging, challenging and praying for NTS—its students, faculty and staff—and for the Church.
