From Rev. Dirdre Brower Latz, Nazarene Theological College (Manchester, Englad), Lecturer in Pastoral and Social Theology .  Rev. Brower was the NTS Preacher of the Year in the spring 2007 semester.

The Shaping of Things to Come: Innovation and Mission for the 21 Century Church by Michael Frost and Alan Hirsch (Hendrickson Publishing, 2003)
Frost and Hirsch touch on critical changes in the world and ask how Kingdom people respond with grace.  At different points in the book the author says things that are important—but might hurt to hear.

Methodism: Empire of the Spirit by David Hempton (Yale University Press, 2005)
This book is a thorough and helpful analysis of Methodism and the movement of
the spirit. It touches on Methodist history in America and is very interesting.

The Powers that be: Theology for a New Millennium by Walter Wink (Doubleday, 1998)
This is a brilliant analysis of the world we live in and the age old powers and principalities.

Ancient-Future Faith: Rethinking Evangelicalism for a Postmodern World
by Robert E. Webber (Baker Books, 1999)
Robert Webber gives a thought provoking look at drawing the best from the past and being both aware and visionary in relation to the future.
