Worship Arts Employment Opporunity

 Full-Time Tenure Track Faculty Position in Worship Arts

 

The School of the Arts, Media + Culture (SAMC) at Trinity Western University invites applications for a tenure track appointment in Worship Arts at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, beginning August 16, 2017.

 

The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree in worship, theology, or a related field, and will bring an active record of academic scholarship, administrative leadership, and practical experience in worship leadership in the local church. As SAMC moves forward in Worship Arts, we seek a leader with vision for the future of the church’s worship life, as well as administrative and academic qualifications to build and lead a flagship academic program.

 

SAMC is committed to positive mentoring within a small and vital community of learning characterized by both disciplinary focus and interdisciplinary collaboration. We seek a collaborative and flexible team player with a creative and entrepreneurial spirit, who wants to be part of shaping a new department, its programs and curricula for the needs of the 21st century. The successful candidate will be a committed Christian with a strong record of teaching, scholarship and service, commitment to the ideals of a liberal arts education, and an educational philosophy of mentorship.
