Position/job title: Youth Ministries Coordinator

Hours: Part-time (more than 20 hrs.)

Wage Type: Hourly

Education Requirements/Preference: Bachelors

Job description: Provide leadership to and be ex-officio member of Youth Support Board, Youth Education Committee, College Grants Committee and Youth Mentor Program. -Plan Junior and Senior High youth group activities along with sponsors and Youth Support Board which includes, but not limited to regularly scheduled meetings and events, service projects, Mennonite conference and college visits and fundraising. -Strategically plan and implement a balanced, Christian youth education program in conjunction with the Youth Education Committee. -Maintain a social network site for RMC youth including a virtual calendar of events. -Assist to recruit youth group sponsors with the Youth Support Board and provide resources for sponsors. -Facilitate and sustain relationships with youth group members through social media, participation in youth group activities and attendance at youth member functions outside RMC. -Involve the youth with the congregation through announcements, planning youth Sundays and encouraging youth participation in worship and service. - Collaborate and coordinate activities with RMC Community Services Coordinator and Music Director to ensure integration within all mission areas (worship, learn and serve) - The Youth Ministries coordinator will report directly to the Pastor.

Job requirements: Bachelor’s degree is desired. Anabaptist-based education preferred. - Previous work experience in youth services, youth camps, etc. preferred - Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to effectively communicate with children, youth and young adults. -Knowledge of Mennonite/Anabaptist theology and familiar with Christian education resources. - Creativity, energy and passion for working with children, youth and young adults. - Excellent management skills and maintain standards of confidentiality. - Proficient in social media including Facebook, Twitter, Website software, and YouTube. - Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. - Able to provide own reliable transportation.
