Job Title:                            Children’s Ministry Associate

Primary Role - Children’s Ministry Associate

 Leadership

Invite, train and empower volunteers to provide leadership within the Children’s department/Nursery.

Oversee the weekly operations of children/nursery rooms, communicating with teachers, helpers and other volunteers.

Oversee the setup and operation of all related children’s ministry environments on Sunday morning, including check-in, check-out, security, clean up, setup and tear down.

Help organize Childcare for special events.

Participate in Weekly meetings with the Lead Minister

Administration

Develop and manage a volunteer schedule and deliver it to your team well in advance.

Adapt and prepare curriculum for children from ages 4 years to 11 years. 

Ensure a worker to child ratio of no less that 1 to 6 children and 1 to 4 infants

Create systems and/or events to thank and appreciate Children ministry volunteers.

Ensure that the Children’s department Policies and Procedures are communicated and followed by all

Attend training events and conferences as directed by the Lead Minister.

Ensure that background checks are conducted on all children/nursery ministry volunteers.

Performance Metrics for Children’s Minister

Volunteers

Cleanliness and organization of the children’s environment.

Adherence to and enforcement of the Nursery Policies and Procedures

Worker training and appreciation.

Attend at least one ministry related conference and be consistently involved in ongoing learning activities.
