  • Graduate Level - Nazarene Theological Seminary is a graduate school.  It's what we do and what we do best.  As the graduate school of theology for the Church of the Nazarene in USA/Canada, our faculty are tuned to teach at the graduate level.  Gone are the days of having to share professors with other programs.  If you're ready to rise to the next level, NTS is such a community in which to do so.
  • Student/Faculty Ratio - At 16:1, the student to faculty ratio at NTS allows for meaningful, engaging conversation with faculty who are experts in their fields.  At Nazarene Theological Seminary, you don't have to worry about never being able to interact with a favorite professor.  This is the kind of community where those who are teaching you will know your name.
  • Cost - Obviously, financing a graduate-level education can be a burden.  Understanding this, the Church of the Nazarene has generously partnered with Nazarene Theological Seminary to provide affordable tuition rates for our students.  The tuition and fees at NTS are among the lowest of comprabale school of size, excellence and accreditation.  For exact details of our costs, please see our Financial Aid page.
  • Leading the Charge - When sitting in a class at Nazarene Theological Seminary, you will get the impression that you are surrounded by future and emerging leaders.  If you do get this impression, you would, in fact, be right.  Because Nazarene Theological Seminary exists for service to Christ and the Church, the students who choose to study here are serious about both of these things.  NTS is also on the cutting edge of conversations regarding the Church in the 21st century, conversations that will shape the Church for years to come.
  • Distinctly Wesleyan - Our heritage matters.  It reminds us of who we are.  Though we understand that we are but a part of a larger whole, we too understand that our special place and calling as Wesleyan Christians sets us apart in graduate theological education.  We are a Christian community first, and Wesleyan by heritage, which affords us the openness to educate students from any theological tradition while still maintaining a strong sense of the unique tenets of Wesleyan theology.
  • Flexible Programs - The graduate programs at Nazarene Theological Seminary provide the amount of flexibility for a student to specialize in a particular area of study.  Because we take your calling and passions seriously, we want to provide our students with the educational tools needed to address specific issues within their discipline.  Strong relationships with faculty allow for further study in a desired area/topic.
  • Flexible Time - Not only are our courses of study flexible, but so are the schedules in which you complete those courses.  Through module format course offerings, summer courses and online courses, our degree programs provide the excellence of graduate level study in a true-to-life schedule which allows our students to maintain involvement in ministry, work, relationships and life.
