The Certificates are non-degree programs that address specialized needs for ministry preparation. To be admitted to one of the certificate or diploma programs a person must satisfy the criteria for admission. Work done to fulfill these requirements may be applied to one of the master's degrees. Certificate in Biblical Languages
This certificate reqires 12 semester hours of biblical languages beyond HEB610 Intermediate Biblical Hebrew and GRK610 Intermediate Greek and must include at least three hours in both Hebrew and Greek.

Certificate in Chaplaincy Ministries
This certificate provides a specialized introduction to the diverse types and nature of chaplaincy ministry including on-site participation in chaplaincy ministry. Admission is limited to students either currently enrolled in the MDiv program or who have already earned an MDiv or its equivalent. Completion of the Certificate does not constitute ecclesiastical endorsement for chaplaincy ministry.

Certificate in Christian Discipleship
The Certificate in Christian Discipleship provides focused study in the field of Christian Education for students seeking to expand their abilities in discipleship practices. Courses are developed in consultation with the MACE Degree Director. 

Certificate in Church Planting
This certificate is provides both classroom instruction and experience in church planting. It introduces students to diverse models and methodologies of church planting and places students in responsible roles under the supervision of accomplished church planters.

Certificate in Compassionate Ministries
The Certificate in Compassionate Ministries prepares students for compassionate ministries in cross-cultural contexts in any area of the world. Specific coursework is determined in consultation with the MAICS Degree Director.

Certificate in Cross-Cultural Ministries
This certificate provides preparation for cross-cultural ministry within multi-cultural contexts in a student's country of origin or in other areas of the world. The coursework combines theological and intercultural scholarship from a Wesleyan / Holiness perspective with a specific goal of ministry in a multicultural setting.

Certificate in Evangelism
The Certificate in Evangelism provides focused instruction in evangelism for full-time evangelists, pastors with special interests in developing an evangelistic church, and associate pastors in evangelism and discipleship.

Certificate in Lay Ministries
This certificate is designed to provide foundational education in biblical studies, theology and / or Church History, and the Practice of Ministry. 

Certificate in Missional Leadership and Discipleship
The Certificate in Missional Leadership and Discipleship provides focused study in discipleship, missional theology and leadership.

Certificate in Pastoral Counseling 
The Certificate in Pastoral Counseling is limited to students enrolled in the MDiv program on the Kansas City campus. It provides focused training for pastors desiring to enhance their counseling skills and increase their knowledge of the relational, emotional and psychological needs of the people with whom they minister. 

Certificate in Spiritual Formation
This certificate is a course of study for pastoral or lay ministers of spiritual nurture and can be earned independent of or in conjunction with an NTS degree.

Certificate in Urban Ministries
The Certificate in Urban Ministries provides focused preparation for students in or envisioning ministry in urban (usually cross-cultural) contexts.

Certificate in Urban Youth Ministries
This certificate is for those who desire to expand their abilities in discipleship practices to and with youth in urban or similar contexts.

Diploma in Cross-Cultural Ministries

Diploma in Diaconal Ministry

Diploma in Children's Ministry, Youth Ministry, Adult Ministry or Family Ministry
