Journey of Faith Campaign Update: Student Housing

It was just a year ago that NTS began preparing its historic Journey of Faith Campaign. One key focus in the Campaign is Student Housing. When the Nazarene Global Ministry Center moved, the Church “gifted” NTS with several houses located on the street adjacent to the Seminary. Many of the houses are already occupied by NTS students; and come this fall, a dorm-style house will also be available, offering housing here on campus to several single students.

In May, NTS was pleased to be on the receiving end of a volunteer work team which donated several days of framing and construction work for this dorm-style house. The team was coordinated and funded by Mr. Lon Emerson of Phoenix, AZ. Lon’s son and son-in-law, Jeff Emerson and Kevin Faber, worked for a week alongside NTS Director of Maintenance, Mr. Mike Coblentz, and his crew.

Emerson is part of a larger group of Christian businessmen in Phoenix who make a difference by funding work and witness projects for the Church around the world. The NTS community is grateful for the thought, time, money, and labor that Lon, Jeff, and Kevin generously donated. Thank you!
